CCU’s new StraightTalk® website is packed with pertinent and timely consumer information. Users can now view and use this information in a variety of exciting ways: Podcasts: Throughout the website, you may notice podcasts, otherwise known as web-based audio broadcasts (here’s an example: http://cc.valleyhill.net/archives/remars-report/36-remars-report/118-choosing-a-credit-card-thats-right-for-you). On the StraightTalk site, podcasts take the form of our “StraightTalk: Listen Now” audio boxes. To use the podcast, just click the play button. An audio broadcast that accompanies the article you’re reading will begin playing. (Please note, slower internet connections may take longer to load and play podcasts). Videos: On the StraightTalk home page, you will see a video player on the right-hand side (under the heading “Commercials You’ll Like!”) This video player houses a number of short clips from the StraightTalk team. Just click on the video you’d like to watch and it will begin playing. Use the pause, play, rewind, and volume buttons on the player to interact. (Please note, slower internet connections may take longer to load and play videos). RSS Feeds: RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” You can subscribe to an RSS feed by clicking on the link on the right-hand side of many pages in the StraightTalk site. By subscribing to a feed, you’re allowing the website to automatically deliver all new content to you when it is added. Instead of having to search for new content when it’s created, it’s automatically delivered to you! Digg It!/My Yahoo/Google/Facebook links: You may see these icons under our article titles. These links allow you to publish stories you like to these websites or your personal pages. If you like an article, this will allow you to share it with others who may enjoy it as well. |
